snowboarding for children

Suitable for children of 8 years and older

start your child snowboarding ith the ESF team in Les menuires

From the age of 8 your child can experience life on a snowboard with our qualified team of snowboard instructors. Let them feel free on their board and learn the styles and techniques required to master snowboarding.

At ESF we have developed a programme for all levels to help your child progress. They will learn how to stand on a board, slide down slopes and also turn both ways facing the slope in controlled movements. The programme also includes boarding on a mogul field.

F.A.Q.
From wht age can my child start snowboarding?
Snowboarding is very demanding on the back and the wrists. 8 years old is a reasonable age to start Snowboarding.
What protective equipment and cloths does my child need?
For beginners we recommend: helmet and the wrist guards. For regular snowboarders: helmet, the wrist guards, knee protectors, dorsal and coccyx protectors.

What Lift Pass package do I need?
Les Menuires / St Martin de Belleville lift pass from beginner level to 2nd Snowboard level and a full 3 Valley Lift Pass for the 3rd Snowboard and Class 4 levels.
My child has never skied. Can I register my child for snowboarding even if they have never done it?
Yes. These are two completely different disciplines and it is possible to start in Snowboard without ever having skied.
How do I book my child's meal?
Meals are available as an option when ordering online.
We recommend that you reserve your meals at the time of the purchase of your lessons to avoid any disappointment.
a new snowboarder told us...
'Every year I saw my big brother having fun on his snowboard and I wanted to learn, so I asked mum if I could do a snowboarding lesson. It was so cool, I had fun! And now I'm a Goomie Rider!'.
