CHILDREN'S SKI LESSONS WITH ESF

FOR LITTLE ONES OF 4 AND 5 YEARS OLD

A GREAT AGE TO START SKIING FOR YOUR LITTLE ONES

At ESF we have designed an environment especially suited for your little ones to learn to ski whilst having fun. At 4 and 5 years old it is the ideal time to learn or come back to ESF for more fun!

Our dedicated team of ESF instructors are delighted to welcome your little ones to the snowy playground of Saint Martin Belleville. The process of teaching young skiers to make those first slides down the slopes is one we take very seriously. Combining the fun element of being in the mountains with the trained expertise of teaching children the basics and knowledge of skiing is something our instructors excel at. All our instructors ar fully qualified and are state certified with the correct qualifications.

For children under 5 years old the Lift Pass is free of charge as long as you present your child's proof of age and photo ID. Remember to make the request at the Lift Pass office.

Question & Answer
What is the programme for the day in my child's ski lesson?
The programme of the day consists of games, snow play, toilet breaks when required, snacks, lunch (if booked) and the discovery of mountain life for all little ones involved. Skiing is determined by the pace and will of the children in the group.
Are lesson in the morning. afternoons or all day?
For 3 year olds you can choose half-days. If you have a child that wakes up early, the morning class is fine. If you have a marmot that stays in bed all morning, the afternoon is better.
For 4 to 5 year olds, you can choose the morning and afternoons together with the choice of having lunch as well.
What equipment should my child have?
You should equip your child with suitable ski boots that are comfortable with one pair of socks, skis that stand level with your child's chin and no ski poles at this stage.
A ski helmet is highly recommended.
How should I dress my child?
Mainly in warm clothes. A warm ski jacket, salopettes or waterproof trousers/suit, Mittens rather than gloves for easy access, a mask of sunglasses in sunny days. Please apply suntan on sunny days pre lesson. Include suntan cream in bag to apply later again in the day.
What if my child cries on the first day?
It is always hard for your child to leave mum or dad. Our expert ESF professionals know this and will immediately recognise this and reassure your child through distraction of the situation and make every effort to involve your child in games and fun activities.
As parents, can we watch the lesson?
When a child sees their parents our job becomes much harder. If we can't see you then your child won't. Stay out of sight if you wish to watch but realistically we would prefer you to go skiing all morning and enjoy our resort. Maybe have a lesson yourself!
OUR ESF INSTRUCTOR SAYS...
'Our lessons are a good way to teach your child how to ski smoothly so that they can gain confidence while making friends'.
