Aurélien, originally from Saint Jean de Belleville, is an instructor within the ESF of Menuires since 2009. It’s his passion for sliding sports and the mountain that have pushed him to get an instructor diploma.

About

Residing in the valley and frequenting the resort of Menuire since he was just a child, Aurien started skiing at the age of 3. Since then, he tried out many varied winter sports such as cross-country skiing, biathlon and competitions.

Concerning his teaching method, Aurélien knows how to adapt to each type of student and tries his best to ally rigor with humor. What he likes best about skiing is the sensation of freedom and the environment. In addition to his job of instructor, Aurélien also works as a plumber and an operator in a treetop adventure course. To satisfy his passion for the mountain even more, Aurélien goes mountain biking. He also reveals that he had the opportunity to ski in Italy, a pleasant experience thanks to the discovery of new mountain reliefs and skiing areas.

The teaching memory he cherishes more is to have given his love for skiing to a kid with Down’s syndrome who can now have fun while descending slopes. His favorite slope is the Masse, which is a red-level one.
