Enfance & Montagne x esf des Menuires: promoting snow classes in France

For a number of years now, the Menuires esf has been working in partnership with Enfance & Montagne to revitalise snow classes in France. Every season, thousands of children can discover the world of the mountains and its key activities (skiing, etc.).
This isn't the only initiative the esf has taken on behalf of children, as the ski school is also involved in the Alpine Ski Plan and British snow classes. Find out more about these partnerships now!

What is the aim of the partnership with Enfance & Montagne?
As you may already know, the system of snow classes began in the 1950s. The partnership between the esf and Enfance et Montagne began in 2020. The primary objective? To relaunch discovery classes, raise funds for them and make the mountains more accessible.
With the esf in Les Menuires, this endowment fund is now helping to finance ski trips for thousands of pupils, to the tune of €1,000 per class. Year on year, more and more schools are benefiting, representing total aid of over €200,000 per year from the esf.
The Les Menuires ski resort is also ready to welcome these children, as buildings dedicated to young people have been installed. The esf instructors can also be called on to teach these pupils how to ski.

The Menuires esf doesn't stop there, as the school also runs snow classes straight from the UK. Every week, between 5 and 20 groups can benefit from the expertise of our bilingual esf instructors throughout the season.
This service is also offered as part of the Savoie department's youth ski plan, which aims to revive downhill skiing and improve mountain culture among young Savoyards, particularly during PE lessons.
It should be noted that this Alpine Ski Plan has been implemented in partnership with over 200 players in the Savoie region since 2005. It covers a number of aspects, including raising awareness of mountain safety and skiing.
