Advice for parents
To help you prepare your stay
For the Club Piou Piou
- Make sure your child is properly equipped: warm and waterproof clothing, ski jacket, mittens, goggles with a strap or ski mask, hat or cap, tissues, sun cream, etc.
- For ski equipment: boots, skis and a helmet (strongly recommended). Equipment can be left at the Club Piou Piou during the stay. Please label all items with your child’s name; labels are available in the offices and children’s areas.
- Your child must also have a ski pass (free for children under 5).
- Their comforter can accompany them, feel free to slip it into their bib bag.
- A snack break is provided during the lesson, please place a snack in their bib bag. A small fruit purée pouch is ideal!
- Lunch Childcare with meals is available to book. Staff ensure children’s comfort, meals and rest time.
- Please inform us of any health issues your child may have.
- Avoid following or calling out to your child during lessons, as this may disrupt their progress.
- Your child is on holiday, please respect their pace and avoid pushing them to become a champion too quickly!
Health form
- The health form is mandatory and must be completed before arriving at the Club Piou Piou.
- It contains the essential information needed to ensure a personalised welcome and your child’s well-being.
General advice and recommendations
To ensure lessons run smoothly, please follow these guidelines:
- Please arrive 15 minutes before the start of the lesson at the designated meeting points (group or private lessons). Any delay will be included in the lesson time.
- Make sure you have a ski lift pass before the start of lessons. The ski pass is not included in the lesson price and is required to access the ski lifts.
- Equipment is not provided: please ensure it is suitable for the learner’s height, weight and level.
- Wearing a helmet is strongly recommended.
- Please inform us of any health issues your child may have.
Please also take note of the following information:
- No bookings can be made by telephone.
- 5- or 6-day lesson packages must be taken on consecutive days within the same week (they cannot be split).
- esf accepts no responsibility for any material damage or personal injury that may occur to students.
- esf reserves the right to cancel or merge lessons if the group size is 5 participants.
- Weather conditions, lift breakdowns or other incidents cannot be attributed to the instructors.
- In the event of lessons being interrupted beyond our control, no refunds will be issued.
- esf does not provide insurance for students, we recommend taking out Carré Neige Insurance.
Children’s meals
For children enrolled in childcare or ski lessons
Children enrolled in childcare or ski lessons can have lunch in one of our Club Piou Piou centres, in a warm and age-appropriate setting, alongside their friends.
- They are collected directly at the end of their activities or ski lessons and supervised by specialised staff, ensuring a relaxing and safe break.
- If your child has an afternoon lesson, we will also take them to the meeting point for their next session.
- Meals are prepared by a chef and are balanced, varied and adapted to children’s ages
- For any risk of allergies, please contact esf and inform us in advance.

How to choose a ski pass
A ski pass is compulsory to attend lessons, regardless of your level.
CHILDREN UNDER 5 YEARS OLD
A free ski pass is issued at the lift pass office upon presentation of proof of age and a passport photo.
CHILDREN AGED 5 TO 12
For certain levels, we offer a "LESSONS + SKI PASS" package.
These ski passes are valid all day, including outside lesson times.

- Children aged 5 in the restricted area: lessons + restricted area ski pass (Easy Rider)
- Beginner children: lessons + restricted area ski pass (Easy Rider)
- Flocon to 2ème étoile Levels: lessons + Les Menuires / St Martin ski pass.
- Beginner children: lessons + restricted area ski pass (Easy Rider)
- Flocon to 2ème étoile Levels: lessons + Les Menuires / St Martin ski pass.
Advice for skiing in Les Ménuires
- Beginner to Etoile d'Or level: The Les Menuires or St Martin ski pass is recommended.
- Team Étoiles & Competition courses: the 3 Vallées ski pass is required.
Advice for skiing in Saint-Martin
- Beginner to Etoile d'Or level: The Les Menuires or St Martin ski pass is required.
- From Etoile de Bronze level onwards: the 3 Vallées ski pass is required.
TEENS (FROM AGE 13) & ADULTS
Advice for skiing in Les Ménuires
- Beginner to Class 2 level: le forfait domaine Menuires ou Saint Martin est nécessaire.
- From Class 3 onwards: the 3 Vallées ski pass is required.
- Team Étoiles, Competition & Team Rider courses: the 3 Vallées ski pass is required.
Advice for skiing in Saint-Martin
- Beginner to Class 2 level: the Menuires ski pass is required.
- From Class 3 onwards: the 3 Vallées ski pass is required.
