As well as downhill skiing and snowboarding, there are plenty of other activities waiting for you in the heart of the 3 Vallées. Among them (cross-country skiing, biathlon, etc.), we particularly recommend snowshoeing.
Unlike skiing or snowboarding, snowshoeing is much easier to do as a family, as the outings are open to everyone aged 12 and over. So if you've got a teenager with you, it's the perfect way to spend some quality family time in the mountains.
Toddlers can also try snowshoeing from the age of 4 with the esf des Menuires, but the principle is exactly the same as for group ski lessons, as they join a group of their own age and are accompanied by instructors.
