Controlling your movement is therefore more natural than on a board, as you are better able to control your trajectory and maintain your balance.
However, getting started on a snowboard isn't impossible- quite the opposite! Although posture, balance and technical moves require more rigour to master, progress is generally quicker on a board than on skis.
