At Les Menuires, the esf instructors are keen to pass on their passion for skiing and snowboarding and their knowledge, adapting perfectly to the needs of each individual.

While this quality of teaching is an integral part of the values that the esf wishes to convey, it is complemented by other commitments.

Making the mountains more accessible, organising solidarity events, setting up operations to care for and protect the mountain areas... These are just some of the actions taken by the resort and its various stakeholders throughout the year.

Les Menuires and handiskiing: the pleasure of skiing for all!

Situated in the heart of the 3 Vallées ski area, Les Menuires has plenty to offer sports enthusiasts of all ages and abilities. While the esf offers a variety of ski and snowboard lessons and outings, it also offers lessons in handiskiing.

Adults and children with disabilities who want to enjoy the incomparable thrill of skiing and snowboarding in the heart of splendid snow-covered trails can opt for this discipline, guided by a qualified instructor.

At Les Menuires, a team of 16 instructors trained in this speciality will be on hand to provide students with an unforgettable experience, perfectly adapted to their needs. Dualski for all ages, PRM access, ski lifts that comply... More than just skiing, it's the whole resort that's made accessible to ski enthusiasts.

Solidarity actions to make winter sports accessible

For several years now, the resort of Les Menuires has been organising a flagship event, the Trophée de l'Espoir, in a friendly, supportive atmosphere. Sponsored by David Douillet and organised in partnership with Alpysia, Alliance Paralysie Cérébrale des Alpes, this evening is an important annual event, raising funds for the charity.

With a range of activities including skiing, a torchlit descent and an exceptional show, the event is an opportunity to promote handiskiing and help make winter sports more accessible to people with disabilities.

Les Menuires also works with other organisations such as the Petits Princes Association and Enfance & Montagne to help children who are ill or have never skied before to discover the mountains and all the activities they have to offer.

A more sustainable mountain with the Menuires resort

While Les Menuires is committed to making winter sports more accessible and looking after the well-being of every holidaymaker, it is also keen to work towards a sustainable mountain.

All those involved in the esf do their utmost to pass on their knowledge of the mountain environment (fauna, flora, risks, specific features, etc.) to young and old alike, and to teach them the right gestures and behaviour to adopt so that they can enjoy themselves safely while respecting the area around them.

As well as raising awareness, the resort is also taking steps to look after the surrounding area, such as the 'Last Stick Planted', a nationwide clean-up operation to collect rubbish dumped on the ski area.
