A few precautions when taking your baby to a ski resort
Before going to Les Menuires, you can consult your paediatrician so that he can examine your child and give you the go-ahead to take him to altitude, particularly if he has respiratory problems or a medical history such as prematurity. Health professionals also recommend the following restrictions (for guidance only):

The right equipment is also essential to protect your baby from the cold and damp during your skiing holiday. Layers of clothing (thermal clothing, insulating clothing and a wetsuit) will keep him comfortable throughout the day. Finally, complete your baby's outfit with snow boots and sunglasses, not forgetting sun cream!
- For babies aged 0-3 months: 1200 m altitude.
- For babies aged between 3 and 6 months: 1500 m.
- For babies aged 6 months to 1 year: between 1500 and 1700 m.
- For toddlers aged 1 to 2 years: between 1700 and 2000 m.
